Friday is always a day that is looked forward to in this house. Not only because it’s the weekend and no school, but because Dad comes home! Since we had gotten most of the chores done much earlier this week, I rewarded the boys with some free game time and we all played Angry Birds while waiting for him to arrive. It’s nice to have some goofy time with the boys, even the dog joined in! He’s such a ham.
With the GORGEOUS warm front that moved in on Saturday, the boys took full advantage of it and played outside almost all day. And even better, they got to play with the neighbor kids and ride ponies. How cool is that? Even Buck’s friend, Brownie, came over and played!
Unfortunately, as usually follows, Luke came down with a sore throat this morning. If he doesn’t get any better, he’ll call in a sick day for school. I REALLY don’t want him getting that flu bug that’s going around. So it looks like some quiet time today and possibly some of the homemade tomato soup I made for dinner (It’s his favorite).
